This trip was special for us in so many ways. Firstly, the place literally has it all – Mountains, Lakes, Waterfalls, Rainforest and Beaches! Can you think of a more rewarding trip? Secondly, our trip was made even more beautiful by the dreamy and romantic stays we chose. Lastly, this was one of those trips that made us talk about life, making us so grateful for what we have, and talk about the kind of future we want to build together.

Day 1-2: When Travel Dreams Come to Life
Hurricane Ridge: Embracing the Unexpected
We had heard so much about the Hurricane Ridge, and despite the cloudy forecast, we were determined to make the drive. The journey up was misty and mysterious, with clouds hugging the mountains. We weren’t sure what to expect, but that’s the beauty of spontaneous travel. We were expecting to see much of anything because the weather was too cloudy. But, as we reached the summit, something magical happened – it started snowing! Soft, delicate flakes drifted around us, transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland right before our eyes. The visibility was practically zero, but there was something incredibly romantic about standing together, surrounded by clouds and gently falling snow.
And then another incredible surprise – we saw a family of deer just hanging out on the mountain with us. It was the most memorable experience, and we were so happy we didn’t let the weather stop us!
Our Storybook Escape: Domaine Madeleine
Remember those dreamy cottages you’ve only seen in movies? Domaine Madeleine (IG: @domainemadeleine) isn’t just a place to stay – it’s where romance goes to level up. Imagine waking up to a symphony of rustling trees, soft morning light dancing through ancient windows, and the distant whisper of the ocean creating the most perfect soundtrack to our love story. Every corner of this place felt like it was curated by a team of Pinterest wizards and romance novelists. We probably took hundereds of photos (not exaggerating) and spent most of our time just staring at each other and saying – can we move here?

The hike to Sol-Duc Falls felt like walking through a living, breathing postcard. Maitland Manor: A Sunny Surprise
